The Viktor Frankl Museum Vienna is dedicated to the life and work of Viktor E. Frankl, the Viennese neurologist and psychiatrist who founded logotherapy and existential analysis and is associated with the Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy.
The museum is located at Mariannengasse 1, where Frankl lived and worked after returning to Vienna in 1945 until his death in 1997.
The exhibition introduces visitors to Frankl’s life, his experiences as a Holocaust survivor and the development of his ideas about meaning, responsibility and human resilience.
Visitors can also learn about his writings, his work as a physician and philosopher and his intellectual connections with figures such as Sigmund Freud.
